FAQ

Integrations FAQ

How do Proxy Rotator integrations work?
Every tool points at one gateway endpoint and authenticates with a username and password or a whitelisted IP. The gateway handles rotation and proxy-type selection, so most setups are just a host, port and credentials. Standard HTTPS and SOCKS5 means no special SDKs are required.
Do I need a different plan for each tool?
No. A single Proxy Rotator plan works across every tool on this page. You can use the same gateway credentials in Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright, AdsPower and more. See pricing.
Which proxy types can I use with these tools?
All of them. You get rotating and sticky residential, datacenter, mobile and IPv6 proxies from a 100M+ IP pool, switchable from your dashboard.
Do your proxies support SOCKS5?
Yes. The gateway supports HTTPS and SOCKS5, so you can use whichever protocol your tool prefers. See the rotating proxy API for endpoint details.
Can I use Proxy Rotator with a tool that is not on this list?
Yes. Any tool, library or app that lets you set an HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxy works, because we expose one standard gateway at gateway.proxyrotator.com:8080. If the software has a proxy field, point it there and authenticate with user:pass or an IP whitelist. No special connector or plugin is needed.
How do I test that my proxy is actually working?
Run a quick command-line check against an IP echo service, for example curl -x http://USER:PASS@gateway.proxyrotator.com:8080 https://api.ipify.org. If it returns an IP different from your own, the proxy is live, and repeating the call returns a new IP, confirming per-request rotation.
Should I authenticate with username and password or IP whitelisting?
Both work on every plan. Use user:pass when your machine's IP changes often or a tool runs from the cloud, since it travels with the request. Use IP whitelisting when a tool cannot send proxy credentials, such as Octoparse, or you want credential-free setup from a fixed server IP.
Do your proxies work with no-code scraping tools, and is setup quick?
Yes. No-code tools such as Octoparse accept a standard proxy endpoint, so setup usually takes a few minutes: paste the gateway, choose user:pass or whitelist, and run. There are no setup fees.
