IPIDEA Alternative

IPIDEA is gone, and so is where its traffic went

IPIDEA's network was disrupted earlier in 2026. Much of that displaced demand landed on NetNut, which was itself taken down by Google and the FBI on 2 July 2026. If you have been moved twice in one year, this is a plan that is not built on somebody else's botnet risk.

The chain of takedowns

IPIDEA's residential network was disrupted earlier in 2026. Resellers and end users moved on, and a large share of that demand was absorbed by NetNut, which had become one of the most widely resold residential networks in the market.

On 2 July 2026 NetNut was itself disrupted by Google, the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation. The network underneath it ran on more than two million compromised consumer devices, tracked by researchers as the Popa botnet. Anyone who migrated from IPIDEA to NetNut has now been knocked offline twice in a single year.

Why this keeps happening

Both takedowns targeted the same underlying model: residential exit nodes sourced from consumer devices whose owners did not meaningfully consent. When enforcement lands on that supply, it does not degrade gradually. Exit nodes stop answering, and the downstream customer finds out when their jobs start timing out.

If you bought through a reseller you may not know whose network you were actually on, which is what makes this pattern so disruptive to plan around.

Getting back to work

Proxy Rotator runs residential, datacenter, mobile and IPv6 on one gateway over standard HTTPS and SOCKS5. Migration is a host, port and credential change rather than a rewrite. Authenticate by whitelisting your server IP or with a user and password, whichever suits your tooling.

There is no minimum spend and no sales call, which matters when you are trying to get production running again the same day. The setup guide covers the common tools.

FAQ

IPIDEA shutdown and alternatives FAQ

Is IPIDEA still operating?
IPIDEA's residential network was disrupted during 2026 and much of its customer base moved elsewhere, largely onto NetNut, which was itself taken down on 2 July 2026 by Google, the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation.
I moved from IPIDEA to NetNut and I am down again. What happened?
NetNut was disrupted on 2 July 2026. The network underneath it ran on more than two million compromised consumer devices, tracked as the Popa botnet. Google disabled its command and control accounts and the FBI seized hundreds of associated domains.
How do I know whose network my proxies are actually on?
If you buy through a reseller you often cannot tell, which is exactly why these takedowns hit so many businesses that had never heard of the network being seized. Buying direct at least means you know who you are dealing with.
How long does migrating take?
Usually minutes. Replace the gateway host, port and credentials in your tool. Because we use standard HTTPS and SOCKS5 your scraping and automation code does not need changing.
What does it cost compared with what I was paying?
Plans start at $24.95/mo with bandwidth included rather than metered per gigabyte. On the 25 thread plan, 750GB works out at roughly $0.13/GB against $562.50 for the cheapest published plan covering the same 750GB.
Do I need to talk to sales?
No. There are no minimums and no procurement process. Start a plan, whitelist your IP or take a user and password, and point your tool at the gateway.
